Three Guesses

For those of you who don't already know where we went last weekend, I'll give you three hints:

#1#2:
#3:
How much more typical Louisiana can you get? We went to Minden for Roger's grandmother's 75th birthday celebration. Happy Birthday, Mams! On Saturday, over 50 people came over to Roger and Jeana's to celebrate with her. It was a day of food, fun and sun, and Braden got the sunburn to prove it!

Braden had lot's of fun, as usual, at his Grandy and Pappaw's house.

He went fishing:

Went to the local Wildlife Museum and posed with taxidermied zebras:...and gorillas and ostriches (not pictured is the hyena taking a bite out of a gazelle to the left of Roger.) They tried to get me in the exhibit, too, but I just couldn't bring myself to get that close. On Saturday night, Braden built a campfire with his dad and Pappaw. He roasted marshmallows and made smores, but I think his favorite part was holding twigs in the fire and watching them slowly burn. I personally preferred the smores.

Madeline had a big time, as well. She met a lot of family, including her Pappaw (not pictured), her Grandpa:and her Mams:

Again, the traveling iwas hard on her. And it's been pretty rough since we've been home. Although, yesterday she started rolling over from back to front on purpose, and this morning she discovered that if she rolls from back to front then immediately from tummy to back, she can get somewhere. She ended up halfway under the sofa!

I wish I had more pictures to share, but when we're with Roger's family I don't get my camera out much. Jeana, Roger's mom, is a professional photographer, and I can always count on her to get everything on camera.
